I know it's an older thread, but curious if you purchased and installed the suggested ground loop isolator as well? I just bought my first wing!I installed the Bluetooth receiver (# 03215) from Electrical Connection on my 2007 GL1800. Connects to the "AUX" connector under the left fairing pocket. High quality product - easy install and easy to use. While you're in the left fairing pocket, install their "direct connect" 12V power plug assembly (# 02205). Cigarette lighter type 12V connector. Connects to the 12V plug found bundled with the "AUX" plug. I installed one today on my bike - 30 minute job.
FYI - plugs under the left fairing pocket. The "AUX" plug is white and feeds the AUX audio input on the radio. The 12 volt power plug is red and is hot only when the key is turned on.
